Job summary

Siemens Energy is seeking a CNC Vertical Boring Machine (VBM) Operator in the United States. You will set up, operate, and monitor large VBMs, interpret complex drawings, and perform precision inspections to ensure part quality and on-time delivery.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED required.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain Fork Truck and Critical Lift (B+) licenses.
• Ability to remain in a stationary position at the machine console and move/position for setup and inspection.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs with or without accommodations.
• Ability to follow written, oral, or graphic instructions.
• Proven ability to use precision gages and set tooling to high accuracies.
• Ability to obtain ACT WorkKeys National Career Readiness Certificate (Silver or higher).
• Must pass standard hearing, vision, and pulmonary function tests as required.
• Legally eligible to work in the United States without current or future sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate large VBMs and perform machining on diverse parts.
• Interpret drawings and GD&T; verify dimensions with precision instruments.
• Perform inspections and record measurements to maintain tolerances.
• Ensure guarding and PPE compliance.
• Operate cranes and forklifts per certification standards.
• Complete production and quality documentation accurately.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives (Six Sigma, 5S, Lean).
