Job summary

IMS Gear in Gainesville, GA is seeking a CNC Manufacturing Technician with a strong background in turning operations to support our high-volume automotive manufacturing facility. You will troubleshoot, set up, and optimize CNC turning equipment, while collaborating with production, quality, and maintenance teams.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years of manufacturing experience in high-volume environments, strong CNC turning expertise, mechanical troubleshooting skills, and basic electrical knowledge.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of manufacturing experience in a high-volume environment.
• Strong CNC turning operations experience.
• Mechanical troubleshooting skills.
• Basic electrical knowledge.
• Ability to read measurements with calipers and micrometers.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, maintain, and optimize CNC turning equipment.
• Set up machines for new products and production changes.
• Analyze downtime, scrap, and machine performance data.
• Support process improvements that increase quality, productivity, and OEE.
• Train operators on equipment, processes, and troubleshooting.
• Coordinate tooling, spare parts, and equipment readiness.
• Partner with production, quality, and maintenance teams to meet customer demands.
