Job summary

IMS Gear in Gainesville, GA is seeking a Machine Operator for the 2nd shift to run CNC machines, load/unload parts, and perform basic adjustments. You will inspect parts, measure with precision, and help keep production flowing in a fast-paced environment.

Qualified candidates have 1–2 years in manufacturing or machine operation (3+ years a plus) and a high school diploma. We offer training on first shift, a $1 shift differential for 2nd shift, safety-first culture, and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years in a manufacturing or machine operator role; 3+ years a plus.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Mechanical mindset with the ability to learn CNC processes.
• Strong attention to detail and quality.
• Basic math, measurement tools, and reading work instructions.

Responsibilities

• Run CNC machines by loading/unloading parts and making basic adjustments.
• Inspect parts and take measurements to ensure quality.
• Keep machines running with basic maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Track production, maintain workflow, and communicate issues quickly.
• Follow safety, quality, and environmental standards and escalate issues as needed.
