Job summary

IMS Gear in Gainesville is seeking a Manufacturing Manager to lead Metals Production Operations in a high-volume automotive environment. You will oversee production, quality, safety and continuous improvement across multiple shifts.

You will direct a large production team, drive key metrics like OEE, scrap reduction, and on-time delivery while collaborating with engineering, quality, logistics and maintenance.

Qualifications

• Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in a related field OR equivalent manufacturing leadership experience.
• 10+ years of manufacturing leadership experience in a high-volume manufacturing environment.
• Experience managing 40+ direct reports across multiple shifts
• Strong leadership, coaching, and employee development skills
• Proven ability to drive operational improvements and meet production goals
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities
• Strong communication skills with employees, leadership, and cross-functional teams
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
• Flexible schedule with the ability to support off-shift operations when needed

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage production operations across multiple shifts
• Direct and develop a team of 40+ employees, including: Manufacturing Team Leaders, Manufacturing Engineers, Operators, Tool Shop Personnel, Assembly Teams, Maintenance Technicians, Quality Personnel
• Drive performance in Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, Productivity
• Monitor and improve key manufacturing metrics including OEE, Scrap Reduction, Inventory Levels, Production Efficiency
• Lead daily production meetings and shop floor management activities
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations, quality standards, and company policies
• Support root cause analysis, corrective actions, and continuous improvement initiatives
• Collaborate with Engineering, Quality, Logistics, and Maintenance teams to optimize production flow
• Participate in internal, customer, and certification audits
• Support capacity planning, workforce planning, and production scheduling
• Promote a culture of accountability, engagement, safety, and teamwork
