Cardinal Health in DeLand, FL is seeking an experienced CNC Machinist to plan, set up, and operate CNC/NC and manual machines to meet production requirements. You will read blueprints, perform precision setups, and verify dimensions and tolerances while adhering to quality guidelines.

The role requires 4+ years of machining experience and a high school diploma; the position offers a daytime shift 7:00 am to 3:00 pm with a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, 401(k),

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in machining preferred.
• High School diploma, GED or equivalent, preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plans method and sequence of CNC machining operations with programming software via post processors or machine programming.
• Reads and interprets 2D drawings and 3D models according to work orders and verbal instructions.
• Performs mathematical calculations to ensure precision setups, and sets speeds/feeds for materials and tooling.
• Sets up CNC, NC and manual machines (EDM, lathe, mill, grinders) and installs tools.
• Sets up, positions, aligns and secures work; sets depth, speed and length for controls.
• Starts machines, inspects in-progress work, verifies dimensions and tolerances, and adjusts tools as needed.
• Polishes/hones finished work and inspects against specifications.
• Designs, builds and machines tools, jigs, and fixtures as required.
• Maintains inventories of machine bits, drills and fixtures.
