You will collaborate with manufacturing, engineering and tooling suppliers to determine tooling specifications, evaluate new tools, and support tooling service, repair and cost analysis.

Qualifications

• Experience with cutting tools used in CNC machining and precision metalworking.
• Practical tooling knowledge and experience preferred.
• Machining or engineering education is helpful.

Responsibilities

• Determine appropriate cutting-tool specifications and applications across jobs.
• Work with manufacturing, engineering and suppliers on tooling for new and existing jobs.
• Evaluate tooling options and tooling technologies to improve productivity and tool life.
• Analyze tooling costs, consumption, productivity and tool life.
