Job summary

Blue Origin is seeking a skilled machinist/technical specialist to support machine shop operations across our facilities. The role emphasizes tooling, metrology, and a strong quality mindset to ensure safe, high‑quality parts for spaceflight programs.

The candidate should have at least five years of experience, solid communication skills, and familiarity with precision measurement tools. This position is based in Huntsville, AL, and involves working in a team oriented, safety‑driven environment.

Qualifications

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in a machine shop environment.
  • Knowledge of cutting tools and machine shop tooling applications.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to use micrometers, calipers, height gauges and dial indicators.
  • General inventory knowledge; PC proficiency.
  • Problem solving and attention to detail; self-motivation and prioritization.
