Weiss-Aug is seeking a skilled CNC Technician at our East Hanover, NJ location to program and operate 3-axis or higher milling centers. You will set up fixtures, develop cutting paths from CAD geometry, and ensure parts meet tolerances of +/- .0001” while maintaining tooling and equipment.

The role requires reading blueprints, CAM/CAD experience, GD&T, and knowledge of G-code; strong communication and problem solving; the team emphasizes quality and on-time delivery.

Qualifications

• Requires 3+ years programming/operating CNC milling centers in tool & die or mold making.
• Read blueprints and CAD/CAM data; interpret GD&T and ANSI/ISO standards.
• Proficient with G-code; capable of setting up fixtures and maintaining tooling.
• Strong communication and problem-solving abilities; proficient with MS Word/Excel.

Responsibilities

• Program cutting paths using CAM software and CAD geometry.
• Operate CNC centers and ensure +/- .0001” tolerance for components.
• Develop CNC work center schedule and coordinate maintenance.
• Assist in fixture/gage design and tool design for die components.
• Mentor Toolroom apprentices and maintain data integrity in files/databases.
• Ensure quality checks with PCNC data and coordinate part fabrication.
