Job summary

Hydro is seeking a CNC Programmer to assist in setting up and maintaining manufacturing lines for fabricated aluminum products. You will program CNC machines and liaise with CNC operators to ensure parts meet specifications.

The role requires a minimum of two years’ CNC machining experience, proficiency with tooling, fixtures, and cutting tools, and the ability to read and follow English-language instructions. On-site position with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of tooling, fixtures, vises, and cutting tools.

Responsibilities

• Study production schedules and estimate worker hours for job completion.
• Store tooling in good condition and manage CNC spare parts inventory.
• Maintain inventory of spare parts for CNC processes.
• Produce both turned and machined parts to customer specifications; use appropriate tooling.
• Layout and write programs for prototypes and samples; set up all machines.

What you will be doing

Summary: The CNC Programmer will assist in setting up and maintaining manufacturing lines for fabricated aluminum products and assemblies at the Fabrication Center. Programming CNC machines and acts as a liaison with CNC operators

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

• Studies production schedules and estimates worker hour requirements for completion of job assignment.
• Responsible to storage in good condition the tooling related to CNC process as well as to have the inventory of it.
• Responsible to keep a good inventory of spare parts required for the CNC Process.
• Must be able to produce both turned and machined parts to customer specifications, in order to do this, a programmer/tech must have knowledge of tooling (fixtures, vises, or other work holding devices, etc.) Must have knowledge of cutting tools (end mills, drills, taps, reamers, etc.)
• Layout and write programs for prototypes and samples for machining and turning centers with short response times. Set-up all machines in shop.

Must be able to understand and deliver basic commands in English.

Must be able to use and maintain all basic tools and measuring equipment pertinent to their specific position.

Must have good machining skills.
Must have good inspection skills.
Must have excellent math skills.

Experience:
