Job summary

CADREX Manufacturing Solutions is seeking a CNC Swiss Set Up Operator II with proven experience on Swiss CNC turning platforms to set up, operate, and troubleshoot production parts in a fast-paced shop in Massachusetts.

You will interpret engineering drawings, program with CAM software such as Esprit or PartMaker, load tooling, monitor processes, ensure quality and safety, and mentor junior operators on setup techniques.

Qualifications

2-year certification or equivalent experience preferred.
3+ years setting up and operating CNC Swiss machines.
Proficiency in G-code and M-code with CAM software experience.
Strong knowledge of Swiss machining processes, tooling, tolerances.
Ability to interpret engineering drawings, models and specifications.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Effective communication and teamwork; commitment to safety.

Responsibilities

Set up and operate CNC Swiss machines for production runs, including tooling selection and securing workpieces.
Interpret drawings and specs to develop CNC programs for Swiss operations.
Program machines using CAM software (Esprit, PartMaker) or manual methods to generate toolpaths and sequences.
Conduct test runs and verify program accuracy with measurements on sample pieces.
Monitor processes and adjust to maintain quality and schedules.
Troubleshoot tooling, equipment, or programming issues.
Collaborate with production, engineering and quality teams to improve processes.
Train and mentor junior operators on setup and operation techniques.
Perform routine maintenance and ensure safety compliance.
