Job description

DCX-CHOL is unmatched in providing INTERCONNECT SOLUTIONS as a full-service designer and manufacturer of military and aerospace cable assemblies, wire harnesses, custom and mil-spec connectors, wired enclosures, test equipment, and turn-key assemblies.

Position: CNC Machine Operator

PMP is seeking an experienced CNC machine operator with the following qualifications and responsibilities:

1. Perform duties associated with the setup and operation of CNC machines.
2. Strictly adhere to company safety policies and procedures.
3. Perform quality control checks using measuring instruments (e.g., caliper, micrometer, height gauge).
4. Perform necessary secondary operations during machine cycle times as required.
5. Compare numerical data displays with specifications on operation sheets.
6. Examine cut parts for defects such as machine edges and surface scratches.
7. Maintain accurate parts counts and labeling.
8. Perform inspections using calibrated measuring devices to match parts against prints.
9. Perform any other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Experience:

1. At least 2 years of machining experience in a metal manufacturing environment.
2. Over 2 years of experience operating and troubleshooting Swiss-style CNC screw machines (e.g., Star, Tsugami).
3. Experience setting up or editing CNC Swiss machines.
4. Knowledge of G and M codes; familiarity with CAD/CAM software is desirable.
5. Ability to work from prints.
6. Microscope experience is a plus, as some work involves very small parts.
7. Experience in organizing and managing staff.
8. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
9. Maintain a neat and tidy personal appearance.
10. Availability to work evenings, days, and weekends as required.
