Nelson Numeric a Sussek Machine Company is seeking a CNC Swiss Programmer to lead advanced Swiss turning operations for high-precision aerospace components in Bloomington, MN. You will own the programming lifecycle—from NPI and DFM reviews to optimizing cutting strategies and supporting shop-floor execution—to tackle complex multi-axis challenges and tooling innovation.

The role requires 5–10+ years of CNC Swiss programming experience, CAD/CAM proficiency (GibbsCAM or Mastercam), and strong GD&T

Qualifications

• 5 to 10+ years CNC Swiss programming experience, aerospace or medical device background preferred.
• CNC Machinist or AS degree or equivalent experience.
• Deep CNC Swiss knowledge with multi-axis machining.
• Experience with GibbsCAM or Mastercam is required.
• Familiarity with AS9100 and ITAR is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Programming, validating, and optimizing CNC Swiss programs and cutting parameters to maximize throughput and repeatability.
• Lead New Product Introduction (NPI) through DFM input, tooling plans, and early-stage development for aerospace parts.
• Provide shop-floor support: troubleshoot G-code with setup machinists and operators, refine toolpaths.
• Lead tooling testing and ensure compliance with AS9100 and ITAR, support FAI/PPAP packages.
• Drive Lean/Six Sigma initiatives, reduce cycle times, and scrap.

Our dynamic locaiton in Bloomington, MN, as a CNC Swiss Programmer! We are looking for a CNC Swiss Programmer to lead our advanced Swiss turning operations for high-precision aerospace components. In this role, you will own the end-to-end programming lifecycle—from NPI and DFM reviews to optimizing cutting strategies and supporting shop-floor execution. Key Responsibilities

• Programming & Optimization: Develop, validate, and optimize complex CNC Swiss programs, tooling strategies, and cutting parameters to maximize throughput and repeatability.
• New Product Introduction (NPI): Provide DFM input during quoting, establish tooling and process plans, and lead early-stage development for new aerospace parts.
• Shop-Floor Support: Partner with setup machinists and operators to troubleshoot G-code, resolve machining issues, and refine toolpaths.
• Tooling & Quality: Select cutting tools, lead testing of new tooling tech, ensure compliance with AS9100 and ITAR standards, and support FAI/PPAP packages.
• Continuous Improvement: Drive Lean/Six Sigma initiatives, cycle time reductions, and scrap-reduction projects.

Qualifications & Expertise

• Experience: 5 to 10+ years of CNC Swiss programming experience (aerospace or medical device background strongly preferred).
• Education: CNC Machinist or equivalent AAS degree, or equivalent practical experience.
• Technical Mastery: Deep expertise in CNC Swiss machinery, advanced GD&T, and complex multi-axis machining principles.
• Software: High-level proficiency in CAD/CAM software (GibbsCAM or Mastercam).
• Quality & Compliance: Familiarity with AS9100 quality systems and ITAR requirements.
