Job summary

Sussek Machine Company in Bloomington, MN is seeking an experienced CNC Swiss Setup Machinist to independently set up, adjust, and operate multi-axis CNC Swiss machines. You will produce tight-tolerance aerospace components from exotic alloys and manage program prove-outs.

You should read blueprints, edit G&M codes, and support continuous improvement; lifting up to 70 lbs and standing for shifts are required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of CNC Swiss turning experience.
• High school diploma required; a 2-year Machining Tech or CNC trade school preferred.

Responsibilities

• Setup & operate multi-axis CNC Swiss machines to meet production and quality goals.
• Read, interpret, and edit multi-axis CNC code with live tooling; adjust feeds and speeds for exotic alloys.
• Pre-set tooling, replace tools, and perform daily machine maintenance.
• Collect SPC data using comparators, CMMs, Trimos, and precision gauges.
• Assist in process development, pre-production, program prove-outs, and train other operators.

Nelson Numeric is a Sussek Machine Company, located in Bloomington, MN We are looking for an experienced CNC Swiss Setup Machinist -Expert to independently set up, adjust, and operate multi-axis CNC Swiss machines

• In this role, you will produce tight-tolerance aerospace components from exotic alloys, manage program prove-outs, and troubleshoot machining processes to maintain high standards of quality and efficiency
• If you excel at reading complex blueprints, editing G & M codes, and supporting continuous improvement, we want you on our team.

Key Responsibilities

• Setup & Operation: Independently set up, adjust, and operate a variety of multi-axis CNC Swiss machines to meet production and quality goals
• Programming & Editing: Read, interpret, and edit multi-axis CNC code with live tooling, calculating and adjusting feeds and speeds for exotic alloys
• Tooling & Maintenance: Adjust and replace tools as needed, pre-set tooling, and perform daily machine maintenance

• Quality & Inspection: Collect and input SPC data using comparators, CMMs, Trimos, and precision gauges.
• Maintain accurate inventory counts.
• Collaboration & Training: Assist in process development, participate in pre-production and program prove-outs, and provide training and assistance to other operators.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Experience: Minimum of 5 years of CNC machining experience specifically in Swiss turning.
• Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
• completion of a 2-year degree in Machining Technology or a CNC machining trade school is preferred.
• Technical Skills: Fluent in G & M codes, with a strong grasp of blueprint reading, math for machinists, and Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)
• Physical Demands: Ability to lift and carry up to 70 lbs and stand for the duration of the shift.
