Job summary

BestLogic Staffing is seeking a CNC Swiss Lathe Machinist for a first shift in Westborough, MA. This direct placement or contract-to-hire role requires 2 years of Swiss lathe setup experience and the ability to read blueprints for setup, operations and adjustments.

Responsibilities include tooling changes, offsets, G-code edits and machine preventative maintenance, with an emphasis on quality inspections of first piece and in-process parts.

Qualifications

• 2 years setup experience with Swiss lathe machines.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• G-code edit experience is a plus.
• Inspects self-machined parts (First Piece & In-Process).

• Reads and studies blueprints and customer specifications to perform setup, operations and adjustments on CNC Star Swiss Lathes.
• Performs inspections of self-machined parts (First Piece & In-Process).
• Changes offsets and tools, performs G-code edits and preventative maintenance of machines.
• Sets up machines to achieve full capabilities.

Our client is looking for a responsible Swiss Lathe Machinist.This is a Direct placement or Contract to Hire position with our key manufacturing client. To be considered for this role, you will need 2 years of setup experience with Swiss Lathe Machines. Reads and Studies Blueprints and Customer Specifications to best perform Setup, Operations and Adjustments of CNC Star Swiss Lathes. G-Code edit experience is a plus. Performs Inspections of self-machined parts (First Piece & In-Process) Responsible for Changing Offsets and Tools, Performing G-Code Edits and Preventative Maintenance of Machines Candidate is required to Setup Machines to achieve their full capabilities.
