Job summary

Top Prospect Group is seeking a CNC Specialist / CNC Programmer–Machinist in Bloomfield, CT to program, set up, and operate high-precision CNC equipment. The role requires advanced programming and the ability to inspect work to ±0.0002" tolerance using Cimatron and various 3-axis/5-axis milling centers.

You will work with Micron machines, Heidenhain controls, and toolmaking in a mold/electrode environment, interpreting blueprints and CAD models to plan machining strategies and ensure part

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of CNC machining and NC programming experience.
• Strong experience programming, setting up, and operating 3-axis and 5-axis milling machines.
• Proficiency with Cimatron or strong CAM background.
• Experience with Micron / Heidenhain, Haas, Mikron HSM500LP preferred.
• Ability to read complex drawings and inspect to tight tolerances (±0.0002").

Responsibilities

• Program CNC toolpaths using best practices for finish, accuracy and tool life.
• Set up and operate 3-axis and 5-axis milling machines.
• Read blueprints and 3D CAD models; plan machining strategies.
• Inspect parts with metrology tools to ensure ±0.0002" tolerance.
• Troubleshoot feeds, speeds, and tool wear to improve performance.
• Maintain a clean, safe machining environment.
