Job summary

Mk-North-America,-Inc. in Bloomfield, CT seeks an experienced CNC programmer/operator to set up and run CNC lathes, milling machines and routers to machine metal and nonmetal parts.

You will interpret drawings/models, select tools, program feeds and speeds, and inspect parts for conformance to requirements. This full-time role requires 5+ years of experience and a high school diploma, with competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• Must be able to program G-code and/or CAM software to apply
• High school diploma or GED required; college/technical degree preferred
• Five+ years of related experience or training; equivalent combination of education and experience
• Knowledge of metric system a plus but not required
• Knowledge of engineered blueprints is required

Responsibilities

• Read/view 3D models, blueprints or job orders for specifications and tooling instructions
• Program, select, and position tools in holders
• Position and secure workpieces in holding devices and fixtures
• Program machines to position tool and workpiece with correct feeds/speeds/depth of cut
• Observe machine operation and verify conformance to specs
• Responsible for first piece inspection
• Check quality of parts against prints/models before release
