Job summary

RTCA is seeking a CNC Supervisor for Swing Shift in Chatsworth, CA. You will lead machinists, coordinate with Engineering, and ensure quality targets are met across CNC milling/turning, including Swiss and EDM processes as needed.

The role requires hands-on leadership, strong GD&T knowledge, and proficiency with ERP systems for tracking work orders and reporting. Join a team focused on accuracy, efficiency, and continuous improvement in aerospace manufacturing.

Qualifications

Five+ years of hands-on CNC machining experience with multi-axis mills/lathe
Proven leadership in production/manufacturing environments
Ability to diagnose machining or process issues in real time
Familiarity with ERP systems (Global Shop or JobBoss) for tracking and reporting
Knowledge of GD&T and aerospace blueprints interpretation
Understanding of AS9100 and ISO 9001 quality requirements
Proficient with standard inspection tools (micrometers, calipers, indicators)
Strong communication and teamwork skills

Responsibilities

Oversee setup, operation and troubleshooting of 3-, 4-, and 5-axis CNC milling/turning equipment
Coordinate with Engineering and Programming for part prints and setup
Mentor machinists and operators; drive daily production goals
Maintain quality and efficiency standards; ensure safe, organized shift handoffs
Support shift reporting and inventory control, using ERP systems
Uphold AS9100/ISO 9001 compliance and continuous improvement initiatives
