Job summary

Milwaukee Tool is hiring a Set-Up Technician I to support manufacturing by operating and maintaining equipment for optimal production. You will set up, adjust, and troubleshoot CNC machines, handling first-article runs and program changes across multiple machine types.

Ideal candidates bring at least 1 year of MT-related experience, cross-training across equipment, and a strong commitment to safety and continuous improvement. Shift: 1st, Mon-Thu 5:00am-3:00pm.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year experience at MT or prior relative job experience.
• Cross-trained on all equipment in area of support.
• Knowledge of area compliance issues including quality, environmental, safety and Milwaukee Tool/West Bend policies.
• Contribute to team efforts by participating in continuous improvement projects.
• Assist with training associates and enhancing department productivity and quality.

Responsibilities

• Follow safety policies, identify safety issues, and maintain 6S standards for a safe, clean workplace.
• Set up, adjust and troubleshoot equipment, including automated operations, controls, robotics and sensors.
• Review PLC/numeric programs and adjust offsets as required; coordinate with supervision and maintenance.
• Perform preventative maintenance and participate in updates to maintenance schedules; complete inspections and required documentation.
• Investigate and diagnose equipment and quality issues, support root-cause analysis and implement solutions.
• Provide feedback to supervisors and lead as needed; assist other shifts if required.
