Job summary

EXALTA Group is seeking a Turning Set-up Operator for 1st Shift in Kenosha, WI. The role involves setting up and operating CNC metalworking equipment to produce quality parts per print, while coordinating with manufacturing and engineering teams.

You will review blueprints, adjust tooling, monitor CNC processes, and perform in-process inspections to ensure conformance with specifications. The position requires attention to detail and the ability to work in a regulated environment.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of experience in CNC setup and advanced operation.
• Experience in ISO/FDA environment preferred.
• Knowledge of CNC equipment and tooling.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
• Proficient in machine shop precision measuring equipment including micrometers, calipers, optical comparators and vision systems.
• Knowledge of G&M coding and GD&T.
• Proficient in machine shop math.
• Knowledge of basic machine programming.
• Ability to troubleshoot and problem solve machining, quality and other issues.

Responsibilities

• Setup, operate CNC equipment and tend to machines to produce quality parts.
• Mount, align, and secure tools, attachments, fixtures, and workpieces on machines.
• Review programs and blueprints to determine operations and sequencing.
• Select appropriate tools and materials for machining tasks.
• Perform part inspection and verify dimensions using precision measuring instruments.
• Communicate with manufacturing and engineering to exchange information and resolve issues.
