Job summary

Emerson, based at the RIDGID World HQ in Elyria, OH, seeks a CNC Setup Technician to set up and adjust machine tools, inspect parts, and manage tool changes. You will interpret CMM reports, create CNC offsets, and ensure accurate setups across multiple jobs while leading on the shop floor.

You are expected to mentor operators, coordinate production flow, and continuously improve safety, quality, and communication. This role blends setup, leadership, and occasional operator duties.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of hands-on CNC setup experience.
• Ability to obtain and maintain certification to operate powered industrial equipment.
• Proven ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and GD&T.
• Experience using precision measuring tools and interpreting CMM reports.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the supervisor's right-hand partner on the shop floor with leadership responsibilities.
• Support production flow, drive accountability, and remove production barriers.
• Transition between setup/coordination/leadership and operator duties as needed.
• Lead by example, remain engaged in daily production, and train operators.
