Job summary

SIS is seeking a CNC Setup Specialist on 2nd shift to independently set up machines, verify part quality, and keep production running reliably. You will prepare equipment, run production jobs, and troubleshoot to maintain consistent machining processes.

You'll collaborate with Operators, Engineering, and Quality to resolve issues and ensure parts meet specifications, while working hands-on on Haas/Smart mills and related equipment in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Must independently set up CNC equipment and verify part quality.
• Ability to interpret blueprints and GD&T.
• Experience with setup documentation and production readiness checks.
• Willingness to perform both setups and regular production runs.

Responsibilities

• Independently set up and operate CNC equipment, including tooling, fixtures, workholding, and offsets.
• Safely prove out programs, inspect initial parts, and obtain approval before continuing production.
• Complete production runs, monitor quality and tool condition, and troubleshoot setup and machining issues.
