Job summary

SIS, an EIS company, is seeking an experienced CNC Operations Specialist for 2nd shift in Canton, GA. You will set up and operate CNC equipment, perform complex setups, troubleshoot machining issues, and train other operators to build their skills and independence.

You will collaborate with Engineering, Quality, and Maintenance to verify solutions, document improvements, and ensure safety, quality, and on-time production. Weekend overtime may be available based on need.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of progressive CNC machining experience with complex setups.
• Strong knowledge of tooling, workholding, GD&T, and precision measurement.
• Ability to interpret blueprints and GD&T and make safe edits to programs.
• Experience training and mentoring other machinists.
• Proficiency with multiple machine families preferred.

Responsibilities

• Set up and run standard and complex CNC jobs meeting safety and quality standards.
• Diagnose machining problems related to tooling, workholding, programs, and surface finish.
• Interpret blueprints and GD&T; verify parts and adjust programs as needed.
• Train and mentor operators and setup specialists.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Quality, and Maintenance to implement durable solutions.
