Job summary

You will interpret CNC programs, edit as needed, and use calipers, micrometers, optical comparators and blueprints to verify dimensions, while maintaining a clean, safe work environment and good attendance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must be mechanically inclined with good basic mechanical skills.
• Ability to interpret CNC programs and edit them as needed.
• Knowledgeable with calipers, micrometers, and optical comparators.
• Knowledgeable with engineering prints and specifications.
• Ability to chart dimensions on machine shop forms.
• Able to read gauges and other instruments.
• Ability to read blueprint drawings.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC machines in the machine shop.
• Maintain quality of own work and ensure adherence to safety standards.
• Provide feedback and take corrective action to meet quality, performance and production standards.
• Perform duties with minimal supervision.
• Acquire proficiency in maintaining quality/production standards in one job function.
• Maintain a clean, uncluttered, and safe work environment with PPE.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor or management.
