Job summary

Averro is seeking a CNC Setup Operator II to advance your career in precision manufacturing. You will set up CNC mills and lathes, run G-code programs, and perform in-process inspections to ensure parts meet tolerances.

The role emphasizes training junior operators and maintaining tooling and fixtures, in a collaborative team environment. Experience with GD&T and blueprints is essential.

Qualifications

• 2-4 years of hands-on CNC machining or industrial manufacturing experience.
• Ability to read blueprints, engineering drawings, and GD&T; strong shop math skills
• Vocational/technical schooling or national credentials; able to pass drug and alcohol screening

Responsibilities

• Independently set up CNC mills or lathes, including tooling, fixtures, and work coordinates
• Run G-code programs and adjust feeds, speeds, and tool offsets to hold part tolerances
• Perform in-process inspections with micrometers, calipers, height gauges, and optical comparators
• Monitor production, troubleshoot minor tooling issues, and perform basic preventative maintenance
• Assist in training junior machine operators in a collaborative, cross-trained team
