Job summary

Pathway Group in California is seeking a CNC Operator to set up and operate multi-axis CNC mills and dual-spindle lathes with live tooling, while reading blueprints and adjusting tooling. You will inspect parts, apply SPC, and edit programs for special parts. Emphasis on efficiency, safety, and continuous improvement.

The role runs on the evening shift (2PM-10:30PM) with occasional Saturday overtime; teamwork and reliability are essential.

Qualifications

• Ability to read engineering blueprints.
• Experience with CNC mills and dual spindle lathes is preferred.
• Must be a team player.
• Ability to perform Statistical Process Control (SPC).
• Adhere to safety requirements.

Responsibilities

• Machine parts to close tolerances from engineering blueprints.
• Set up and adjust offsets, change inserts and tools as needed.
• Inspect and approve machined parts and conduct SPC as required.
• Edit programs to machine special parts and tools.
• Understand speeds and feeds based on raw materials.
• Set up and operate CNC mills and lathes to optimize cycle times and tool life.
• Tear down setups and prepare tooling for the next job; prep ahead during cycle time.
• Participate in Kaizen events and continuous improvement.
