Job summary

Qualifications

• Four years’ experience operating and setting-up CNC machines (Lathes, Mills, Mill Turn Centers) preferred.
• Must be able to determine production methods and sequence of operations to produce parts according to blueprints and specifications.
• Advanced math skills (e.g., trigonometry and advanced algebra).
• Knowledge of Mastercam/Esprit is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Start machine and observe its operation to reposition work piece or adjust machine settings for multiple passes.
• Set up and edit programs; inspect or measure using precision instruments.
• Maintain machine and perform preventive/corrective maintenance as needed.
• Troubleshoot CNC machines and run more than one machine/production process at a time.
• Calculate and set machine controls for tool position, cutting depth, speed, feed, and coolant flow.

CNC Operator (Live Tooling) – Direct Hire Job/ W-2

Pay $30.00 per hour

2 nd Shift

The CNC Operator is responsible for operating one or more CNC machines (Mill, Lathe with live tooling and/or Mill Turn CNC).

• - Start machine and observe its operation to reposition work piece, or adjust machine settings for multiple or successive passes.
• - Experience working in an R&D environment.
• - Set up and edit programs.
• - Inspect or measure using precision measuring instruments.
• - Maintains machine and perform advanced preventive and corrective maintenance on shop machines.
• - Troubleshoot CNC Machines.
• - Runs more than one machine/production process at a time.
• - Calculates and sets machine controls to position tools, and regulate cutting depth, speed, feed or coolant flow.
