QPS Employment Group in Ixonia, WI is seeking an experienced CNC Set Up Machinist to join a growing job shop. This hands-on role requires precision, reading blueprints, and making on-the-fly edits to G and M code to ensure quality.

You will set up and operate CNC machines, interpret drawings, perform quality checks with calipers and micrometers, troubleshoot issues, and collaborate with the team to hit production goals. 1st shift, 6:30am-2:30am, wage $35.00-$45.00/hour.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of CNC machining and setup experience.
• G and M code knowledge; ability to edit programs.
• Blueprint reading and use of precision measuring instruments.
• Detail-oriented with commitment to quality and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC machines according to production requirements.
• Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work instructions.
• Make program edits using G and M code to improve part quality or process efficiency.
• Perform quality checks using precision measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
• Troubleshoot setup and machining issues, maintaining optimal machine performance.
• Work collaboratively with team members in a job shop environment to meet production goals.
