Job summary

QPS Employment Group is seeking a skilled CNC Machine Operator in Mosinee, WI. This 1st shift position offers $20.00-$30.00 per hour and features a 7:00am–3:00pm schedule with Monday–Friday responsibilities.

You will operate CNC and conventional machines, set up controls, read blueprints, monitor quality, and adjust processes to maintain production efficiency. A two-year Machine Tool Technology diploma or equivalent experience is preferred, with 5+ years of machining experience valued.

Qualifications

• Two-year Machine Tool Technology diploma, Technical Degree, or equivalent experience preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of machining or CNC operation experience preferred.
• Experience with CNC programming and setup is a plus.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
• Strong understanding of machining processes, tooling, and material identification.
• Proficiency with precision measuring instruments and gauges.

Responsibilities

• Operate CNC and conventional machine tools, including lathes, milling machines, grinders, and related equipment.
• Set up and adjust machine controls, feeds, speeds, tooling, and workpiece positioning to achieve required specifications.
• Calculate machining speeds, feed rates, and cutting dimensions as needed.
• Load, secure, and remove materials and finished parts using appropriate fixtures, clamps, hoists, or lifting equipment.
• Monitor machine operation and make adjustments to maintain product quality and production efficiency.
• Inspect finished components using precision measuring instruments, gauges, templates, and fixtures to ensure compliance with specifications and blueprints.
• Interpret blueprints, work orders, setup sheets, and machining instructions.
• Modify and save CNC programs to address machining issues or improve production performance when authorized.
• Transfer and manage CNC programs through computer networks and machine control systems.
• Replace worn or damaged tooling and determine appropriate cutting tools based on material type and machining requirements.
• Troubleshoot machine malfunctions and collaborate with supervisors, programmers, and team members to resolve production issues.
