Job summary

Sky Limit Systems, LLC in Wisconsin is seeking an experienced CNC Machinist to join our manufacturing team. This role requires capability of performing complete machine setups, changeovers, tool offsets, and first-piece inspections while producing high-quality precision components.

The ideal candidate is self-sufficient and detail-oriented, with 3+ years of CNC experience, capable of reading blueprints and GD&T, and proficient with precision measuring tools. This is a 1st or 2nd shift position.

Qualifications

• 3+ years CNC machining experience preferred.
• Proven ability to perform full machine setups independently.
• Experience with changeovers, tool offsets.
• Strong understanding of blueprint reading and GD&T.
• Proficient with precision measuring equipment including micrometers, calipers, bore gauges, and height gauges.
• Experience machining tight-tolerance components in a precision environment.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to work independently while maintaining productivity and quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Set up CNC mills and lathes from start to finish.
• Run changeovers to minimize downtime.
• Adjust tool wear and offsets for accuracy.
• Read blueprints and GD&T; follow process sheets.
• Load tooling/fixtures and verify setups.
• Perform first article and in-process inspections.

Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced CNC Machinist to join our manufacturing team. Key Responsibilities

• Perform complete machine setups on CNC mills and/or lathes from start to finish.


• Execute changeovers efficiently to minimize machine downtime.


• Adjust tool wear and geometry offsets to maintain dimensional accuracy.


• Read and interpret blueprints, GD&T, work instructions, and process sheets.


• Load tooling, fixtures, and programs while verifying proper setup before production.


• Perform first article, in-process, and final inspections using precision measuring instruments.


• Troubleshoot machining issues and make necessary program or offset adjustments.


• Maintain tight tolerances and ensure all parts meet quality requirements.


• Perform routine machine maintenance and keep work areas clean and organized.


• Follow all company safety policies and standard operating procedures.
