Job summary

Mancan Parma Heights is seeking an experienced CNC Set-Up Technician for a local manufacturer in Westlake, OH. The ideal candidate will set up and operate CNC machines, read blueprints, and ensure parts meet specifications.

The position offers 1st shift hours (8:00–4:30; training includes an extended option at 8:00–5:00) and pays $28–$32 per hour, with opportunities to troubleshoot, maintain tooling, and collaborate with programmers and engineers to improve processes.

Qualifications

• Reading blueprints and technical drawings.
• Experience with CNC programming and operation, including G-code.
• Familiarity with measuring instruments and quality checks.

Responsibilities

• Set up CNC machines and load programs, select tools, and configure parameters.
• Operate CNC machines to perform drilling, turning, milling, or grinding operations.
• Interpret blueprints, drawings, and work orders to determine machining requirements.
• Identify and retrieve raw materials for jobs and load them into machines.
• Monitor production and ensure compliance with specifications and quality standards.
• Troubleshoot machine issues and maintain tooling and fixturing.
