Job summary

Hermle USA, Inc. in Franklin, WI seeks a service technician to calibrate, inspect, and support CNC machines in a showroom and on-site. You will load/unload machines, assist service technicians, and perform routine maintenance while traveling as needed.

The role requires a technical degree and 2-4 years’ experience with CNC tooling, plus strong computer and MS Office skills. International travel may be necessary in this position.

Qualifications

• Technical school degree in blueprint reading, machining, manufacturing, or related field.
• 2-4 years’ experience in troubleshooting mechanical and electrical issues of machine tools.
• Proficient knowledge of electronic and mechanical aspects of CNC machines, preferably 5-axis.
• Proficiency in using computers and Microsoft Office.
• Extensive travel is required (including international).

Responsibilities

• Performs calibrations on service tools of mechanical, electrical, and electronic instruments, gauges, and testing devices for accurate readings, measurements, and data.
• Inspect equipment/tools to ensure good condition and report worn, damaged, lost, or unsafe items to management.
• Report unusual/unsafe trends in tool usage to management.
• Provide basic support tasks to assist service technicians in installing, maintaining, and repairing equipment and machinery.
• Unloading/loading machines from trucks and moving machines in/out from the showroom; commissioning/decommissioning machines in the showroom.
• Perform scheduled daily, weekly, and monthly preventive facility/showroom maintenance.
• Performs other duties and responsibilities as requested.
