Job summary

Insight Global is seeking a Maintenance Group Leader in Flint, MI to guide a team of maintenance technicians in supporting plant operations, ensuring equipment reliability and minimizing downtime. The role emphasizes hands-on CNC and robotics expertise, plus strong leadership in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.

You will drive preventative maintenance, troubleshoot complex mechanical and electrical issues, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to sustain production efficiency and safety

Qualifications

• Experience supervising teams in a manufacturing environment with skilled trades.
• Ability to troubleshoot and repair CNC machinery and Fanuc robots.
• Solid understanding of mechanical and electrical concepts in maintenance.
• Knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems, and controls.
• Experience supervising UAW employees and familiarity with automotive OEMs.
• Knowledge of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T).

Responsibilities

• Lead a maintenance team of technicians.
• Oversee maintenance and repair of plant equipment and facilities.
• Perform and oversee equipment checks, testing, and evaluation of results.
• Diagnose equipment malfunctions and recommend solutions.
• Ensure completion of preventative maintenance activities.
• Maintain production schedules and uphold quality standards.
• Enforce compliance with labor agreements and company policies.
• Promote safety standards and maintain housekeeping practices.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with teams outside the immediate workgroup.
• Optimize use of personnel, materials, and equipment.
• Establish and execute plans to complete maintenance projects and tasks.
