Job summary

QPS Employment Group is seeking an Operator in Germantown, WI to support production by reading shop orders, operating CNC/robotic trimming equipment, and using hand tools to finish parts. You will follow 5S practices and contribute ideas for continuous improvement while ensuring accurate data entries.

Shifts include 1st, 2nd, and 3rd; hours are 7:00am-3:00pm, 3:00pm-11:00pm, and 11:00pm-7:00am, Monday through Friday.

Qualifications

• Experience working with large machinery preferred.
• Basic computer knowledge.
• Able to stand most of day - 2/3 of shift.
• Able to walk throughout shift - 1/3 of shift.
• Able to reach, stoop, bend and crouch - 1/3 of shift.
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds - 2/3 of shift.

Responsibilities

• Read and understand production shop orders (including visual work instructions), interpret and use the instructions they provide
• Safe and accurate use of hand tools (including routers, drills, cutting tools, and finishing tools) for the purpose of finishing, cleaning or deburring parts
• Understand basic thermoformer controls and run production, with ability to load and unload machines
• Safe operation of band saws for pretrimming or cutting up scrap
• Use and understand basic measuring tools, including tape measures, scales (rulers), and heat guns
• Keep accurate records and entries in the data collection system, QC reports and day by the hour reports
• Contribute continuous improvement ideas regularly
• Operate CNC / robotic trimming equipment safely, including stopping/starting machines
• Participate and promote 5S procedures and practices
