Job summary

ESS Metron in Denver, CO is seeking a sheet metal punch operator to join our manufacturing team. You will set up tooling, operate TRUMPF Punch and related CNC equipment, and ensure parts meet drawings and quality specs.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years of experience, ability to read prints, shop math, and work safely in a fast-paced environment. We offer competitive compensation and strong benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; technical school certification preferred.
• 2+ years of experience operating sheet metal punches or similar CNC equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret prints, specifications, and diagrams.
• Strong understanding of shop math and units of measurement.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow precise instructions.
• Ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively within a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Champion a safe work culture by modeling safe practices and promoting safety awareness.
• Set up and adjust tooling for features specified in CNC programs, ensuring accuracy per drawings.
• Operate and maintain sheet metal punch or similar CNC equipment, loading programs via the machine.
• Sharpen tooling using powered grinding equipment to maintain performance.
• Perform routine maintenance and tool selection by reading operation manuals.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, including machines, tools and equipment.
• Accurately complete and submit all required production paperwork and documentation.
