Sargent Metal in Anderson, SC is seeking a CNC Punch Operator to set up, operate, and maintain Trumpf CNC punch equipment to produce precision parts. You will follow production schedules and quality standards to keep the shop running smoothly.

Responsibilities include reading blueprints, inspecting parts with precision tools, performing basic maintenance, and leading a small production team to meet daily output and safety protocols on site.

Qualifications

  • Experience operating CNC punch equipment (Trumpf experience preferred).
  • Familiarity with automation and CNC troubleshooting.
  • Familiar with varying types of sheet metal (aluminum, galvanized, galvanneal, stainless, etc.).
  • Proficient in reading blueprints and using precision measurement tools.
  • Ability to stand for 10–12 hours per shift and lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Excellent judgment, decision-making, and communication skills.
  • Strong work ethic and willingness to support team success across departments.
  • Willingness to work overtime as needed.

SUMMARY

The CNC Punch Operator is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining Trumpf CNC punch equipment to produce high-quality parts that meet customer specifications. This role plays a key part in ensuring smooth production flow, precision, and safety on the shop floor.
