Job summary

ESS Metron is seeking a skilled Sheet Metal Punch Operator to join our Denver area manufacturing team. You will operate the TRUMPF Punch, cut sheet metal from 18ga to 11ga, and produce standard parts, specials, and templates for production.

You will set up tooling, verify material gauge and finish per work orders and quality specs, and enter production data into our system. The role requires 2+ years of CNC punching experience, ability to read prints, good shop math, and teamwork.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; tech school certification preferred.
• 2+ years of experience operating sheet metal punches or similar CNC equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret prints, specifications, and diagrams.
• Strong understanding of shop math and units of measurement.

Responsibilities

• Champion a Safety First culture by modeling safe practices.
• Set up and adjust tooling for features specified in CNC programs.
• Operate and maintain sheet metal punch or similar CNC equipment.
• Retrieve and load programs via machine computer.
• Sharpen tooling using powered grinding equipment to maintain performance.
• Perform routine maintenance and tool selection per Operation Manuals.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, including machines, tools, and equipment.
• Accurately complete and submit all required production paperwork and documentation.
