Job summary

Callaway Golf seeks an Associate Prototype Technician to support the R&D prototyping team in machining, fabrication, assembly, and inspection of prototype components. You will work under Prototype Technicians and engineers to help reduce lead times and document processes.

The role emphasizes learning CNC machining, fixture setup, prototype assembly, and maintaining quality standards in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma; technical certification preferred.
• 0–2 years in machine/prototype shop is common; exposure to CNC machining is a plus.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and interpretable tolerances.

Responsibilities

• Assist in machining, fabrication, assembly, and finishing of prototype components from drawings and CAD models.
• Support setup and operation of CNC mills, lathes, grinders, and other prototype shop equipment under supervision.
• Prepare raw materials, tooling, fixtures, and setup components for prototype manufacturing.
• Perform dimensional inspections using precision measurement tools to verify specs and quality.
• Assist with prototype fitting, polishing, deburring, and light assembly tasks.
• Maintain accurate build records, inspection data, and material tracking.
