Job summary

Acushnet Company is seeking a CNC/CAM Project Engineer to design, program, and manufacture prototype golf club heads and components using Siemens NX and 5-axis CNC machining.

You will work closely with R&D and manufacturing teams to optimize designs for manufacturability, develop machining strategies, set cutting parameters for various metals, and contribute to fixtures, welding, coatings, and fixtures to advance product development and testing.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related engineering discipline required; equivalent professional experience in CNC/CAM engineering, machining, and prototype development may be considered in lieu of a degree.
• 3+ years of CAD/CAM programming experience, preferably using Siemens NX (Unigraphics) or comparable software such as SDRC or Delcam.
• 3+ years of CNC machining experience, including operation of CNC mills, lathes, and manual mills and lathes.
• 3+ years of welding experience, with the ability to support prototype development and fabrication projects.

Responsibilities

• Design the future of golf innovation by designing, programming, and manufacturing prototype club heads, components, and precision fixtures.
• Leverage NX CAD modeling and advanced 5-axis CNC machining to transform concepts into functional prototypes.
• Collaborate with engineers across the development process to optimize designs for manufacturability and develop machining strategies.
