Job summary

The CNC Programmer will develop and maintain programs to manufacture components per engineering drawings and production requirements, collaborating with Engineering, CAD, and Production to optimize material use and efficiency. The role emphasizes reading CAD drawings, using Sigmanest/TruTops, and integrating with ERP systems to drive accurate and

Qualifications

Ability to read CAD drawings, blueprints, and technical specs.
CNC programming and/or nesting software experience preferred; Sigmanest or TruTops a plus.
General understanding of CNC equipment and manufacturing processes.
Strong computer and technical skills with ability to learn manufacturing software/systems.
Proficient with Microsoft Excel and good math skills.

Responsibilities

Create and maintain CNC punch machine programs using Sigmanest/TruTops or other nesting software.
Read CAD drawings and blueprints to determine programming requirements.
Use Global Shop ERP to access work orders and production data for programming.
Create program sheets, radius sheets, and production documentation for operators.
Develop nesting layouts to maximize material utilization and minimize scrap.
Review programs for accuracy and adjust for efficiency and yield.
Work with CNC operators to troubleshoot programming or production issues.
