AJM Packaging Corporation in Detroit, MI is seeking a skilled CNC Programmer to translate CAD drawings into accurate machine code and optimize milling and turning operations.

The role collaborates with engineering and production to meet quality targets, prepares and tests programs, and maintains documentation. Proficiency with Autodesk Fusion and G-code/M-code is essential, with 5–7 years of machining and 2–4 years of CNC programming experience.

Competenze

• 5-7 years of hands-on machining experience including setup and operation of CNC lathes & mills
• 2-4 years of CNC programming experience
• Proficiency with CAM software Autodesk Fusion for CNC programming
• Strong knowledge of G-code and M-code for machine control
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite

Mansioni

• Convert 3D CAD models into CNC programs using CAM software
• Create and modify CNC programs for milling, turning, and other operations
• Ensure accuracy in tool paths, machining strategies, and optimization
• Collaborate with machinists and engineers to troubleshoot processes
• Interpret drawings and calculate dimensions, tool selection, speeds, and feeds
• Operate CNC machinery to execute machining operations per specs
• Maintain documentation of programs and store on media
• Determine reference points and program coordinates
• Modify existing programs to improve efficiency
• Perform test runs and first-piece inspections
• All other duties as assigned
