Job summary

Insight Global is seeking a CNC Programmer/Operator to program, set up, and operate CNC milling machines including 5-axis gantry mills to produce prototype vehicle components. You will translate engineering designs into precise CNC programs and ensure timely delivery of parts.

Responsibilities include tool selection, fixturing, measurement, and maintaining records, with a focus on safety and quality. 5+ years of experience and strong CAM/CAD skills required.

Qualifications

• Develop, optimize, and troubleshoot CNC programs (G-code) from 3D CAD models and drawings.
• Set up and operate CNC milling machines, selecting tooling, fixturing, and cutting parameters.
• Produce precision parts for prototype vehicles meeting tight tolerances and quality standards.
• Collaborate with design engineers to assess manufacturability and provide feedback.
• Inspect finished parts using precision measuring instruments to verify conformance.
• Maintain accurate records of CNC programs, setup sheets, and machining parameters.
• Follow safety procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
• 5+ years of experience as a CNC Programmer/Operator.
• Proven CNC programming expertise with CAM software and CAD/CAM workflows.
• Strong ability to interpret drawings and blueprints; understand materials.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized workcell.
