Job summary

VirTra seeks an experienced CNC Machinist to set up and operate 3-, 4- and 5-axis CNC mills and multi-axis lathes, including manual mills and lathes, to produce precision components. You will read blueprints, program at the control for simple tasks, and optimize speeds, feeds and tooling for quality parts.

The role requires 5+ years of hands-on machining, knowledge of GD&T, and familiarity with Mastercam, Fanuc controls, and pallet change systems.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of trade school, vocational education, work experience, or apprenticeship.
• Knowledge of Mastercam, Fanuc Controls and AWC Pallet change systems.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate 3-, 4- and 5-axis CNC mills and/or multi-axis lathes and manual mills and/or lathes to produce precision parts.
• Read and interpret blueprints and tooling requirements to determine machining methods and sequences.
• Read G-code programs at the control for simple programs and adjust machine controls to position spindle and control settings.
• Plan, adjust speeds/feeds/depths, select tooling, and monitor machine performance for quality and on-time delivery.
