Job summary

Paylocity seeks a skilled CNC Programmer to develop and optimize programs for milling and turning, ensuring first-pass quality and safe production. You will read engineering drawings, select tooling, and collaborate with Engineering, Production, and Quality to improve throughput.

This role supports new product introductions and requires precision, strong problem solving, and adherence to safety standards.

Qualifications

Minimum of three years CNC programming experience.
Ability to read blueprints, GD&T, and engineering drawings.
Experience setting up, proving out, and troubleshooting CNC processes.
Proficiency with G-code and M-code and tooling concepts.
Strong problem-solving and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

Develop, write, and optimize CNC programs for milling, turning, and other operations.
Interpret drawings, GD&T, and specifications to determine machining requirements.
Create and maintain setup sheets, tooling lists, and manufacturing documentation.
Perform program prove-outs, first-piece verification, and machine trials.
Troubleshoot programming, tooling, and machine issues; implement corrective actions.
Collaborate with Engineering to support new product development and prototype machining.
Train machinists on new programs, setup procedures, tooling requirements, and process improvements.
Maintain program revisions and documentation with revision control procedures.
