Job summary

Jobot is hiring a skilled CNC Programmer in Hartford, CT to program and operate 3, 4, and 5 axis CNC machines. The role involves reading complex blueprints, loading materials, and ensuring parts meet tight tolerances with CAD/CAM tools such as AutoCAD, Creo, Mastercam.

Windchill and Vericut familiarity is preferred. The ideal candidate has 5+ years in CNC programming, strong problem-solving skills, and excellent attention to detail.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of CNC programming and operation experience.
• Proficient in reading/mechanical drawings and documents.
• Expertise in G-code and M-code programming.
• Experience with CAD software: AutoCAD, Creo, Mastercam.
• Familiarity with Windchill and Vericut.
• Strong knowledge of precision measurement tools.
• Excellent problem-solving and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills; able to work independently.
• High school diploma or equivalent; relevant degree is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Write and optimize CNC programs for 3, 4, and 5 axis machines using CAD/CAM software.
• Read and interpret technical blueprints and design models.
• Load raw materials and set up CNC machines.
• Operate machines to meet quality standards.
• Inspect machinery daily and troubleshoot issues.
• Collaborate with design team on part manufacturability.
• Maintain a clean and safe workspace per company policy.
