Physik Instrumente (PI), LP in Shrewsbury, MA is seeking a CNC Programmer to join our precision machine shop. The role runs Monday–Friday, 7:00 am–3:30 pm, and requires setting up, programming, and operating Haas mills and lathes to tight tolerances per engineering drawings.

Candidates should have 3+ years of CNC machining and Mastercam experience, read blueprints with GD&T, and be able to work with aluminum, steel, stainless, and plastics.

Competenze

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 3+ years CNC machining and Mastercam programming experience.
• Apprentice or technical schooling for precision machining.
• Proven HAAS CNC equipment experience (VF, ST, series).
• Strong knowledge of G-code, M-code, feeds, speeds, tooling.
• Ability to read blueprints and GD&T.

Mansioni

• Set up and operate Haas CNC mills and/or lathes to tight tolerances.
• Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and GD&T specifications.
• Create and optimize CNC programs using Mastercam.
• Perform in-process inspections and final checks with precision tools.
• Collaborate with engineers to develop machining strategies.
• Maintain machines, tools and workspaces in safe condition.
