Job summary

KSB US in Port Arthur, TX is seeking a CNC Programmer to own CNC programming, setup support, and process development in the machine shop. The role focuses on turning drawings and repair requirements into safe, repeatable CNC processes that support quality, throughput, and on-time delivery.

You will collaborate with Engineering, Quality, Planning, and shop leadership to optimize methods, tooling, and fixtures, while maintaining clear documentation and standards for repeatable results.

Qualifications

• Strong CNC programming knowledge with toolpath development.
• Ability to read drawings, tolerances, GD&T.
• Experience with setup, first-piece prove-out, and process improvement.

Responsibilities

• Create, revise, and maintain CNC programs for machines and production work orders.
• Review drawings, tolerances, materials, and work-order requirements before programming.
• Develop machining methods, tooling, fixtures, setup sheets, and program notes.
• Support CNC machinists during setup, first-piece prove-out, troubleshooting, and process adjustments.
• Partner with Engineering, Reverse Engineering, Quality, Planning, and shop leadership to resolve drawing, tolerance, material, or manufacturability issues.
• Maintain controlled program files, revision history, setup documentation, and programming standards to prevent outdated or incorrect program use.
• Identify opportunities to reduce cycle time, rework, scrap, setup delays, and machining variation while protecting quality and safety requirements.
