Job summary

Seyer Industries, Inc. in Missouri is seeking a skilled CNC Programmer to support multi-axis machining for aerospace and related parts. You will write and optimize NC programs, select tooling, verify toolpaths, and ensure quality through Vericut simulations and GD&T checks.

The role requires NX programming, 5-axis milling, machinist background, and strong problem-solving abilities. We offer a comprehensive benefits package and a supportive team in a climate-controlled shop.

Qualifications

• 3+ years NX programming experience.
• 3+ years 5-axis milling programming.
• Knowledge of lathe/mill-turn programming.
• 3+ years Vericut verification software experience.
• Knowledge of Mastercam is a plus.
• 3+ years experience as a machinist.
• Ability to read and understand drawings/specifications.
• GD&T knowledge.
• Excellent organizational skills.
• Strong mechanical/technical problem-solving ability.
• Lean manufacturing understanding.
• MS Office experience (Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint).
• Customer-focused and professional communication.

Responsibilities

• Determine the most efficient machining method with tool paths and tooling.

JOB DUTIES:

• Responsible for determining the most efficient method of machining using efficient tool paths, techniques and tooling.
• Responsible for writing clear and thorough setup instructions on tool lists and setup sketches.
• Verify all programs written using Vericut to review for completeness and obvious errors (wrong geometry, tool crashes, etc).
• Utilize defined standard tooling packages as much as possible on specified machining cells.
• Effectively communicate with up and downstream internal customers on any manufacturing or producibility issues that arise or are foreseen.
• Conform to all requirements of Seyer Industries Quality System and all customer invoked quality requirements (AS-9100, for example).
• Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with 6S standards.
• Contribute to team efforts by accomplishing related duties as needed.
• Accomplish strategic departmental and organizational goals by completing related duties as needed

JOB SKILLS:

• 3+ years experience programming with NX.
• 3+ years experience 5-axis mill programming
• Knowledge of lathe / mill-turn programming
• 3+ years experience using Vericut verification software or equivalent
• Knowledge of Mastercam is a plus
• 3+ years experience as a machinist
• Ability to read and understand drawings and specifications.
• Working knowledge of GD&T.
• Excellent organization skills.
• Demonstrated mechanical and technical knowledge with the ability to resolve problems and provide technical solutions.
• Understanding of LEAN manufacturing concepts.
• MS Office working experience (Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
