Job summary

Homeyer Precision Manufacturing in Missouri is seeking an experienced NC Programmer to join our precision machining team. You will develop CNC programs for complex multi-axis parts using Siemens NX CAM and analyze engineering drawings and GD&T to define the machining strategy.

You will select tooling, parameters and setup documentation, support first article production, and work closely with manufacturing, quality, and tooling teams to optimize cycles and tool life.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of Manufacturing Engineering or NC Programming experience.
• Minimum 1 year programming CNC mills in a production environment.
• Strong experience with Siemens NX CAM.
• Thorough understanding of GD&T.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and 3D CAD models.
• Knowledge of multi-axis machining strategies.
• Strong understanding of machining fundamentals including tooling, feeds, speeds, workholding, and cutting tool selection.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with machinists, engineers, and quality personnel.
• U.S. Citizen or Green Card holder.

Responsibilities

• Create, develop, and optimize CNC programs using Siemens NX CAM.
• Program complex 3-axis, 4-axis, and 5-axis milling operations.
• Analyze drawings, CAD models, GD&T to determine machining strategy.
• Select tooling, parameters, sequences, and workholding.
• Collaborate with Manufacturing Engineering, Quality, and Machining teams for production efficiency.
• Develop setup documentation, tooling lists, operation sheets, and process instructions.
• Support first article production and troubleshoot on the shop floor.
• Improve existing programs to reduce cycle time and increase productivity.
• Implement corrective actions for nonconforming parts.
• Assist in fixture design and manufacturing process improvements.
• Document in-process inspection requirements and processes.
• Support Lean Manufacturing and 5S continuous improvement.

What You'll Do

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications
