Job summary

Martinic Engineering Inc in Tolleson, AZ is seeking a CNC Programmer to create and edit machining processes, determine methods and sequences for operations, and develop programs for 5-axis CNC machines to manufacture tight-tolerance parts.

You will evaluate processes, design work instructions, apply lean principles, plan layouts, and ensure product and process quality by testing and benchmarking. Travel to vendors or customers may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing, Industrial, Mechanical Engineering or related field; typically 3+ years of experience.
• Knowledge of manufacturing and production engineering theories, lean manufacturing principles, and data analysis.
• Ability to work with CAD/CAM systems and read engineering drawings.

Responsibilities

• Evaluates manufacturing processes by conducting process analysis and applying manufacturing knowledge.
• Develops manufacturing processes and prepares work instructions.
• Applies lean principles to improve efficiency.
• Plans workflow, space, and equipment layout; ensures design for manufacture and assembly.
• Designs testing methods and validates process capabilities.
• Recommends changes to processes based on cost and quality analyses.
• Maintains professional knowledge through workshops and networks.
• Complies with legal requirements.
• Shares knowledge and collaborates with cross-functional teams.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
