Job summary

RENK America is seeking a skilled CNC Programmer to develop and modify production programs, analyze blueprints, set tools, and ensure parts meet specifications. The role involves programming 4- and 5-axis machines, optimizing cycles, and troubleshooting on the shop floor in Muskegon, MI.

You will collaborate with operators and engineers, implement tooling improvements, and drive quality through precise machining and validation, while following safety protocols and Lean manufacturing principles.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma with Vocational certificate in CNC programming.
• Associates Degree in Engineering/Machining concentrations or related field.
• CNC programming skills.
• Mathematical proficiency skills.
• Blue print reading required.
• Fixturing and Tooling development and setup required.
• Attention to detail.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• CNC M and G code programming of 4 and 5 axis machines.
• CAD/CAM CNC programming proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Operations and programming of CNC machines.
• Assists with implementing programs and tooling for new programs, existing program improvements including tooling improvement, driving down cycle time and problem-solving dimensional issues with production jobs on the floor.
• Analyze blueprints, job orders, design data, and specifications to calculate dimensions, feed rates, machine speeds, and tool selection.
• Contributes in the development of new CNC programs for production runs or modifies existing programs for different machines.
• Revise programs to fix errors and retest them to confirm that issues have been resolved.
• Follow all company safety protocols and ensure that machine procedures are done in accordance with company guidelines.
• Convert design specifications into precise instructions for machining operations and cutting tools.
• Trouble shoot issues during the manufacturing process
